A few screenshots depicting a build from Microsoft upcoming Windows Server 2016 have leaked. Microsoft is expected to release a new preview build sometime next week.
These screenshots are first published by Wzor, the well known hacker having a good track record of Microsoft-related news and rumour. The screenshots are from Windows Server 2016 technical preview build 10514. They are quite similar to the last technical preview of Windows Server.
The leak suggests this build is from the public development branch th2_release, which is the same branch the Windows Insiders received Windows 10 Mobile preview build 10512 from recently. The Windows 10 Mobile build 10512, with a bunch of fixes along side the stability and performance improvements, is currently available for Insiders on Fast ring.
TH2 otherwise known as Threshold 2, which is the next update for Windows 10, is expected in October 2015. Microsoft is likely to make the preview available for the same soon. As for Windows Server 2016, speculation hints it is likely in early 2016.
Usually a new client build comes with the Windows Server 2016 build, which again hints that a new Insider TH2 build could be launched as early as next week, believes WinBeta.
Following screenshots, the ISO image of the preview build 10514 has reportedly leaked, again thanks to Wzor. Labeled as an OEM retail image the file weighs in at 4.67GB.
